Contemporary red morocco, covers with gilt leaf border, spines gilt, edges gilt, each with a FORE-EDGE PAINTING:, the first depicting Burns's birthplace Alloway, the second of the cenotaph of Burns and Old Brig o'Doon (some light rubbing); cloth folding case.

    Two charming fore-edge paintings, including figures in the landscapes, relating to the birth and death of Robert Burns. (2)
