Small 4°, with initial blank (first gathering nearly detached, some waterstaining, creasing and soiling towards end, verso of final leaf of text very soiled and rubbed rendering some words illegible, lacks final blank).     woodcut border, woodcut headpieces and initials, with the final blank
    (waterstaining to title and early leaves, title also slightly soiled and torn at margin). First published in 1570 as Rei rusticae libri quatuor. STC 13201.

    2 works in one volume, contemporary limp vellum (cockled, small hole in spine, lacks ties, front inner hinges split). Provenance: Charlotte Maria Bury (inscription on title to Heresbach, dated 1827) -- Sir Thomas Phillips (1792-1872, William H. Robinson label).
