Together 28 volumes and one box, various 4° and 8° sizes. Plates and illustrations, some folding. (Catalogues 2, 4 and 62 lacking but supplied in facsimile, some repairs.) First volume in modern red morocco, spine gilt lettered, original front wrapper bound in, others in uniform red hessian with morocco labels, most original wrappers preserved (some wrappers with minor chipping and losses, some reinforced on spine or with small repairs). Provenance: occasional annotations or institutional inkstamps.

A near complete run of catalogues issued by E.P. Goldschmidt & Co., beginning with 'One Hundred Early Printed Books' and including the rare catalogues LXI and LXXXII (the whole shipment of the former to the USA was famously sunk by a U-boat in 1941), also the coveted number LII, produced to commemorate the centenary of Fox Talbot and Daguerre. An unbroken sequence of 172 numbered catalogues was issued by the firm. (29)
