Engraved additional title and 11 engraved plates, all in the first volume (occasional light dampstaining, a few leaves cut short at lower margin). Contemporary speckled calf. FIRST EDITION of the first Swedish handbook on midwifery. It is also the first complete medical text book to be published in Sweden, bound with the rarer second part, the author's translation of and commentary on Paul Portal's La pratique des accouchemens (1685).
