3 volumes, 4o (290 x 205mm). Golden type, woodcut title and two full-page illustrations after Edward Burne Jones, six- and ten- line initials. Original holland-backed blue paper boards with paper labels, uncut and unopened (spines lightly browned, corners a bit worn); uniform quarter maroon morocco gilt slipcases. Provenance: John A. Saks (bookplates; his sale Christie's New York, 20 May 1983, lot 135).

The Kelmscott edition was set up from a transcript of Caxton's first edition of his translation (Westminster: 1483). Peterson A7; Sparling 7; Tomkinson p. 109. (3).
