FIRST EDITION of this selection from Kircher's voluminous works. The range of subjects covered encompasses the entire spectrum of his researches in physics. The editor was Kircher's pupil and as Kircher died the year this book was published, it is uncertain to what degree he was envolved in its production. Garrison-Morton 580: "includes the first recorded experiment in hypnotism in animals"; Krivatsy 6404.
