EARLY INDUSTRIALIZATION IN RUSSIA. A rare, large, and finely hand-coloured wall map, in its contemporary slipcase, showing the distribution of factories of various types, including those for mineral processing, transport routes, ports, quarantine stations, banks, customs houses and other features of industry for all of Russia up to the Urals. The industrialization of Russia only took hold about 20 years before the publication of this map with the expansion of the rail network. A cartouche shows the distribution of industries for the Moscow region, and another shows the population distribution for all of European Russia.
