In Revelations of the Diplomatic History of the 18th Century Marx attempted to 'reveal the continuous secret collaboration between the Cabinets of London and St Petersburg', by means of documents he had examined at British Museum in the collection of William Coxe; the work was published in parts in the Free Press and not reprinted in Marx's lifetime.
