    FIRST EDITION IN ENGLISH. PRESENTATION COPY, INSCRIBED BY NABOKOV WITH A BUTTERFLY DRAWING on the half-title in Russian: "To dear Anyutochka from Volodya 1962 NYC." The butterfly is drawn in pencil and highlighted with the same blue ink used in the inscription. Anyuta is Anna Feigen, Véra Nabokov's cousin, with whom the Nabokovs lived for many years during their Berlin exile. Vladimir Nabokov would assist Anna Feigen in emigrating to the United States during the Nazi ascendancy (see also 1ot 97). Juliar A16.2. A VERY FINE ASSOCIATION COPY.
