    NORFOLK. A series of 43 court rolls, rent rolls, and compotus rolls for the manors of Langford, Reedham and Cranewys [Cranwich], [presumably Norfolk], comprising 26 documents for Langford, n.d. [13th Century] - 1590 (22 documents pre-1500), nine documents for Reedham, 1474-1482, 6 documents for Cranewys, 1338-1351, and two others, in Norman French and Latin on vellum, each on one or two membranes (widespread discolouration and damp-staining).

[13th Century] - 1590 (22 documents pre-1500), nine documents for Reedham, 1474-1482, 6 documents for Cranewys, 1338-1351, and two others, in Norman French and Latin on vellum, each on one or two membranes (widespread discolouration and damp-staining).

    The earliest documents are three rent rolls for the manor of Langford in Norman French (possibly once attached together), giving extensive details of tenants of the manor and the values of the rentals, including those for 'la pecherie de middyl milledam'. The total value of the rents 'par tut lan hors p[ri]s le pescheryes' is 60s 5d.
