    Arabic manuscript on paper, 310ff. plus 3 fly-leaves, each folio with 15ll. of black naskh, with gold roundel verse markers, sura headings in white naskh on gold ground within illuminated cartouches, some gold floral sprays within the text, text within gold frames with black and blue rules, catchwords, with gold and blue illuminated marginal medallions, opening bifolio heavily illuminated with 7ll. of text on gold ground, colophon signed Muhammad Sa'id al-Shukri min talamidh al-Sayyid Hafiz 'Abdullah al-Halim and dated within circular cartouche, calligraphic roundels in the spandrels in jali thuluth, the closing bifolio illuminated with radiating sun medallions in the margins, later owner's mark, small losses, in gilt brown morocco binding with flap
