    Arabic manuscript on paper, 315ff., each page with 12ll. of black naskh with Persian interlinear translation in red nasta'liq, with blue interlinear division, the text panels and marginal commentaries written in the diagonal between coloured rules, with gold roundel verse markers, sura headings in black and red naskh on yellow ground within illuminated panels, with marginal illuminated medallions on gold ground, the opening folio heavily illuminated in gold, green and blue, with the fatiha and first page of sura al-baqara on gold cloud bands, the colophon signed Sayyid Baqir son of the deceased Sayyid Muhammad Karim al-Taliqani resident of Ardakan and with added date of AH 1290/1873-74 AD, in contemporary lacquer binding
