Contemporary half calf over marbled paper-covered boards, gilt spine with lettering piece, marbled edges (extremities lightly rubbed).     SCARCE FIRST EDITION of which only 1500 copies were printed. Four of the plates are by William Daniell, made during his two visits to Java.
