    SILK BROADSIDES -- SCOTTI DEI DUGLASSI, Giovanni Agostino, Count (? b.1776). 'Papiro di Laurea'. Padua: Giuseppe e Fratelli Penada and Gio. Antonio Conzatti, n.d. [but c.1800]. A group of 8 poetical broadsides dedicated to Count Agostino Scotti dei Duglassi, ranging from 380 x 240mm to 465 x 360mm. One on pink coloured silk, one yellow, 3 light blue, and 3 on ivory coloured silk. 4 with woodcut headpieces. (Tiny marginal hole to one, a few light creases, edges very slighly frayed.) Provenance: Pellegrin Pasqualigo Friulano (contemporary ink inscription to one of the broadsides).

    EXTREMELY RARE poems composed to celebrate those graduating from university. These silk versions are an EXCEPTIONAL SURVIVAL. The Duglassi were originally Scots who settled in Italy in the mid 16th-century.
