FIRST EDITION, an unnumbered copy from an edition of 1,000 copies. Provenance: Cloé Russell (ink inscription dated '1902' on half title). Mason 381.

Decorative endpapers, decorative title, four full-page plates and several vignettes and text illustrations by C[harles] Ricketts and C[harles] H[aslewood] Shannon (plates faded as usual, some spotting, endpapers chipped and separated at gutters). Publisher's brown cloth, backed with green cloth, and with a pictorial design in gilt and orange by Ricketts and Shannon (discoloured, peripheral wear). FIRST EDITION. Mason 347.
