    The rectangular case with replaced detachable doors and moulded skirting, iron spikes to the rear, the painted dial with Roman hour ring and quarter ring below, sheet-iron hands, the short duration weight-driven movement of wooden construction with iron rod 'cage' pinions, brass verge escapement and wood countwheel strike on bell with iron hammer; formerly with alarm work; pendulum
