H.M. Vehmeyer, Clocks, Their origin and development, 1320-1880, Gent, 2004, pp. 420-421
Vehmeyer shows a thirty-hour long case clock by Anthonie van Oostrom with an apparently identical chapter ring, spandrels, decorated arch and gilt brass Europa ornament. He describes him as a 'fine maker' (p.1000), active in the period 1740-1768. He had his workshop in Grote Kattenburgerstraat.
