    The case of typical form, the hood surmounted by giltwood urn finials, the wooden back plate with a pierced hexagonal star, the polychrome painted and parcel-gilt iron dial, the arch decorated with sailing vessels, the reverse insribed with indistinct monogram and dated 1832, brass hands, the short duration movement with four brass ring turned baluster pillars, verge escapement with integral back swinging pendulum, outside countwheel with strike and alarm on bell above; one brass weight
