    The case of typical form, the 'dubbelkap' hood surmounted by repoussé brass shield finials, the top and sides with polychrome reverse glass painted panels depicting a lake scene, the door flanked by ebonized pilasters headed by Corinthian capitals, the polychrome painted dial with sailing vessels to the arch, the reverse of the dial with indistinct signature D/..., repoussé brass foliate spandrels and 'bruidskrans' surrounding the white Roman chapter ring brass hands, the four pillar movement with anchor escapement, hour strike and alarm on bell above, half hour strike on gong; one brass weight; pendulum
