    The case of typical form, the hood surmounted by ball finials, the wooden back plate with a pierced hexagonal star, the polychrome painted iron dial with Roman and Arabic chapter ring the arch decorated with sailing ships, the reverse inscribed with indistinct monogram, brass hands, associated repoussé brass spandrels to each corner, aperture to the side for the pendulum, the short duration movement with four brass ring turned baluster pillars, verge escapement with integral side-swinging pendulum, outside countwheel with strike on gong, bell for alarm above; three brass weights
