    Each with shaped rectangular top painted with flowers above a conforming frieze, on turned tapering legs, with a paper label one printed '3253' the other printed '3254', redecorated and previously black-painted and parcel-gilt, the tops probably originally plain

    A pair of George III polychrome-decorated small pier tables of related proportion to the present lot, and with decoration added in the late 19th century was in the collection of the 1st Viscount Leverhulme (1851-1925) and subsequently sold in 'The Legend of Dick Turpin' - part I, Christie's London, 9 March 2006, lot 217 (£14,400).
