These minature planters are inspired by those in Louis XIV's Orangery at Versailles. The planters, over five hundred of which came from Vaux-le-Vicomte, housed more than three thousand orange trees, some of which Louis XIV gifted to his maitresse-en-titre Athenäis de Montespan.
