    The open scrolled pediment above gadrooned frieze, above two panelled doors flanked by spirally-reeded supports enclosing a later hanging rail, the base with two short and two long part mahogany-lined drawers, on gadrooned tapering feet, the handles apparently original, the interior previously with slides, the base board of the top section cut, possibly Irish

    A closely related Regency mahogany clothes-press with scrolled pediment centred by a similar reeded swag above panelled doors flanked by spirally-fluted columns was sold anonymously [The Library at Gaiter's Green], Christie's, London, 6 March 2003, lot 215 (£8,962). A further related mahogany clothes-press was sold by The Lord Barnard, Raby Castle, Co. Durham, Christie's house sale, 10-11 October 1994, lot 179.
