    A SET OF EIGHT LOUIS XV SILVERED FAUTEUILS
    SIX FAUTEUILS PROBABLY MID-18TH CENTURY, TWO FAUTEUILS OF LATER DATE, EACH STAMPED 'I. GOURDIN', MINOR VARIATIONS TO CARVING
    Each with a shaped rectangular back with central rosette clasp to the crest flanked by ruffle-carved shoulders, the padded back, arms and seat upholstered in (now attached) à chassis silk and silver thread-embroidered cream silk, above a waved seatrail with further floral clasp, on flower-headed cabriole legs ending in toupie feet, all stamped to the rear underside seatrail, one chair with a blue-bordered and red-printed paper inventory label 'Ball Room 1863', numbered 1-8 in black paint to underside of seat rails, redecorated and probably originally gilt, corner blocks stamped 'J.N & Co.'
