    Each with pierced trellis and padded back and seat covered in white watered silk, on ring-turned slightly outsplayed legs, redecorated, one stamped twice 'I.N.C.', three branded with a Royal crown, two with enamel label printed 'LAPWORTH BROS. & HARRISON 22 OLD BOND STREET CARPET & CABINET MANUFACTURERS TO HER MAJESTY'

    The three Regency chairs are by John Gee. One of his firm's marks was a stamp 'JnG' combined with a branded crown. The provenance as stated in the catalogue is therefore likely to be incorrect.
