    LATE 19TH CENTURY
    Each with chip carved top rail and splat above triangular seat, one with label inscribed This is an exact copy of a Saxon chair which is carefully preserved in the Leicester Hospital - Warwick, and which is said to date from the reign of Alfred circa 871 to 901 AD, indistinctly signed, dated Londonderry 1897
