    The rectangular verde antico marble top within a moulded stiff-leaf and rope-twist carved surround, above a Greek-key frieze interspersed with flower heads and centred by a putti mask, on square sectioned inverted baluster legs headed by flower heads and piastres and terminating in foliate-wrapped feet, with remains of a blue-bordered paper label inscribed '40'

    The flower head-filled Greek-key frieze on this console table is derived from related designs carved in the early 1790s by Tuscan carvers such as Lorenzo Dolci, who worked for the Court from the mid 1770s.
