    Des ailes au-dessus du front, des serpents sifflant dans ses cheveux, le regard fixe, la bouche ouverte, présentée de face; dans une monture ovale en or sur un fond octogonal en agate tigrée, enchâssé dans un cadre associé en bronze doré, gravé à motif de feuilles d'acanthe, ornée de deux plaques de cornaline et de deux plaques de lapis-lazuli

    A CARVED OVAL SARDONYX CAMEO HEAD OF MEDUSA
    17TH CENTURY
    Wings above her brow, snakes hissing in her hair, eyes staring, mouth open, facing front; in an oval gold mount applied to an octagonal banded agate ground within an associated gilt-bronze frame engraved with trails of acanthus leaves and decorated with two cornelian and two lapis lazuli plaques
