    Billion Dollar Brain, 1967
A Russian 'style' fur hat of black mink, the black cotton lining with maker's embroidered label Sloy made for Michael Caine as Harry Palmer in the 1967 MGM film Billion Dollar Brain; accompanied by a corresponding black and white still of Michael Caine wearing an identical hat, (printed later); and a letter concerning the provenance from Johnny Morris stating that this hat was the only one used in the film and was worn by both Michael Caine in the lead role and himself as Harry Palmer's double in the sequences shot on location in Finland

Johnny Morris vividly recalls the bitterly cold temperatures in Helsinki when shooting Billion Dollar Brain. He remembers that they were always accompanied by a nurse when shooting outside, because of the risks they were exposed to, and on one occasion, when it was sunny and they were filming on the frozen sea, she gave him a severe ticking off for removing this hat. He also recalls being reprimanded by local firemen who worked on the set, who made him aware of the dangers of the environment when, between shots, he was amusing himself by jumping between enormous slabs of ice.
