Typewritten letter dated February 2nd, 1925 signed by Hall of Fame pitcher Christy Mathewson (1880-1925). The letter, written on Boston National League Base Ball Company stationary addresses a fellow Bucknell University alum concerning a prospective pitcher with the Boston Braves (Edwin Van Brunt) If you see him I would be very glad to have you tell him that I will take a personal interest in him and will attempt to show him a few inside points about the art of pitching. The letter is signed Christy Mathewson in black ink.
