    A 1978 Guild D-55NT Serial No. 173299, in natural finish, bound rosewood body, spruce top, mahogany neck, 20 fret bound ebony fingerboard with block inlays with indented triangular abalone inserts, headstock face with shield motif, ebony pin bridge and black pickguard; accompanied by a black hardshell contour case with blue plush lining; and three documents concerning the provenance (5)

    Eric Clapton said that he has used this guitar for writing and recording. Lee Dickson recalled that Clapton owned this guitar in the late 1970s until its sale at Christie's New York in June 1999.
