Lady Katherine de Vere Beauclerk was born on 25 May 1877. She was the daughter of William Ameleus Aubrey de Vere Beauclerk, 10th Duke of St. Albans and Grace Bernal-Osborne. She married, firstly, Henry Charles Somers Augustus Somerset, son of Lord Henry Richard Charles Somerset and Lady Isabella Caroline Cocks, on 23 January 1896. She and Henry Charles Somers Augustus Somerset were divorced in 1920. She married, secondly, Maj.-Gen. Hon. Sir William Lambton, son of George Frederick D'Arcy Lambton, 2nd Earl of Durham and Lady Beatrix Frances Hamilton, on 22 April 1921. She died on 1 February 1958 at age 80. From 23 January 1896, her married name became Somerset. From 22 April 1921, her married name became Lambton.
