    A Chinese lion watching its young climbing up a peony-strewn cliff, referring to the belief that shishi pushed their young cubs over steep cliffs to encourage them to struggle and persevere, signed Ichiyusai Kuniyoshi, published by Joshuya Kinzo, block-cutter Tetsuzo, kiwame seal, very good impression, colours and condition, and another design from the same series depicting a phoenix and a lobster, fair condition, trimmed
