    Engraved panorama of Rome on 12 sheets (comprising 6 large sheets c.690 x c.435mm and 6 small sheets, with indices, c.340 x c.435mm) dissected into 16 panels, and mounted on linen; overall area 1040 x 2650mm. (Some tears and repairs near edges, light browning.)

    VASI'S MAGNIFICENT PANORAMA OF ROME, produced in the course of the 1750s and 1760s with the assistance of Piranesi and others. 'With this splendid panoramic view of Rome, it is possible truly to have a precise idea of the city in the 18th century' (Frutaz). Produced during the 1750s and 1760s with the assistance of Piranesi and others. It was later reissued in Milan in 1829 on 18 sheets. Frutaz, Le Piante di Roma I, CLXXI.
