Barrias exhibited regularly at the Salon from 1865 to 1904, during this period he exhibited his Jeanne d'Arc Prisonnire (1892), a marble for Bonsecours, near Rouen where "Jeanne" was burned at the stake in 1431. The success of this model is testified by the edition produced in bronze by Susse in five sizes.
