    A gilt bronze figure of Amitayus
    Tibet, 16th century
    Seated in dhyanasana atop a double lotus base with beaded rim, his hands cradling an offering bowl in his lap, clad in a long dhoti incised with a floral pattern and beadwork secured at his waist with a long sash curling on his throne before him, his decorated shawl arching above his head and falling gracefully on his shoulders and arms, further adorned with jewelry inset with hardstones, his face in a pleasant expression with heavy-lidded eyes centered with an urna inset with a hardstone, his long hair pulled into a high chignon topped with a finial and secured with a crown, both inset with hardstones, richly gilt overall
