    A Gilt Bronze Figure of Manjushri
    Mongolia, Zanabazar School, 18th Century
    Seated in dhyanasana over a high double-lotus base with beaded rims, his left hand holding the stem of a lotus and his right hand wielding his sword, dressed in a diaphanous dhoti with incised hems and adorned with beaded jewelry, a sash falling on either side of the base, the face crowned with a foliate tiara, the hair piled high and surmounted by a golden finial, with polychromy remaining on the face, hair, and lotus blossom, richly gilt overall, the copper base plate incised with a gilt double-vajra
