    Modelled by J.F. Eberlein as malabars, both seated cross-legged on cushions above shaped rectangular stepped bases with canted corners, the gentleman modelled feeding fruit to a tame monkey, the lady mirroring his pose feeding fruit to a parrot, both on footed rectangular ormolu bases cast with leaves, the feet with scrolling acanthus, each base mounted with tôlework twin branches, the sconces and drip-pans formed as leaves, the branches encrusted with leaves and applied with contemporary French soft-paste porcelain flowerheads (both bases with restored sections, female figure restored through neck, some areas of wear and scattered chipping, mounts with some minor losses to applied ornament and flaking to decoration)

    In his work records Eberlein describes these models as: '4. Ein Pagoten-Weibel mit einem Papagei und Postament von Thon boss.' and '5. Ein Pagotte mit einem Affen von Thon bosziert.'
