    IRAN OR INDIA, 18TH CENTURY
    The plainwoven linen ground embroidered in brightly coloured silks with a lattice of small floral spays forming lozenges around a string of six dense blue floral roundels with pendants above and below, in an inner border of boteh and outer larger floral meander border between stripes, backed in silk borcade, green fringes, slight staining and minimal damage, backing splitting in places
