    LATE QING DYNASTY
    Unusually made from lavender-ground deep purple cut velvet of geometric pattern, within black satin borders edged in gold chevron braid, all richly decorated with various types of ribbons, some incorporating sequins, including the inner-most ribbon applied with pale turquoise silk orchids, with a pocket on the inner flap, the teal-blue silk damask lining woven with flowering branches and bamboo
