With Jules Jürgensen original fitted two-tier mahogany box inscribed Correct Time and a copy of the worksheet confirming total cost of SFr. 210.30.

According to the records of the Musée de l'Horlogerie du Locle, the movement of this chronometer is part of a series of six examples of this type, numbered 856 to 861, manufactured by Jürgensen between 1876 and 1878.

Based on the style of both dial and case, it can safely be assumed that the movement remained on stock and was fitted with the present case and silver dial in the 1920s.
