    Cal. 27 SC nickel-finished lever movement stamped twice with the Geneva Seal, 18 jewels, mono-metallic balance adjusted to heat, cold, isochronism and 5 positions, swan-neck micrometer regulator, the silvered matte dial with applied white gold faceted baton numerals and outer dot minute divisions, white gold dauphine hands, centre seconds, in circular case with inclined bezel, downturned lugs, screw on glazed display back, together with a stainless steel Patek Philippe buckle, case, dial and movement signed

    Production of the reference 2508 began in 1951. Very few examples were produced in stainless steel. The model is illustrated in Patek Philippe Wristwatches by Martin Huber & Alan Banbery, 2nd edition, pp. 204, pl. 328.
