Accompanied by Patek Philippe Extract from the Archives confirming production of the present watch with black dial and applied steel hour markers in 1941 and its subsequent sale on 27 December 1941.

To the best of our knowledge, this watch has never been offered in public before and is furthermore one of four examples of reference 592 in stainless steel to appear in public to date. The fact that it features an original black dial, fully confirmed by the Extract from the Archives, further enhances its desirability. According to research, it is the only reference 592 in stainless steel with black dial known publicly to date.

Reference 592 was introduced into the market in 1938 and cased in yellow gold, pink gold and stainless steel. It was available with either subsidiary seconds or sweep centre seconds.

For an example of reference 592 see Patek Philippe Wristwatches by Martin Huber & Alan Banbery, second edition, p. 182, pl. 289.
