The present reference 429/1 is a highly attractive representative of this exceedingly rare model, distinguished by the curved, stream-line case shape, the sides topped by a pink gold line and the unusual, Art Deco style dial layout, combining square-shaped black enamel numerals and applied pink gold 3, 9 and 12 numerals. Fresh to the market the watch is believed to be the only third example of this reference to appear at public auction.

Recently serviced in the workshops at Patek Philippe the watch furthermore impresses with its very attractive overall condition, still retaining the International Customer Service sticker to the case back.

    Reference 429
Reference 429 was launched in 1934 and still listed in the firm’s catalogues in 1938. It is only known in stainless steel and pink gold, given reference 429-1AR. The dial was usually Art Deco style, with geometrical layout, as the present example.
