With Patek Philippe Extract from the Archives confirming production of the present watch with silvered dial and applied gold Breguet numerals in 1945 and its subsequent sale on 20 February 1946.

Production of reference 1461 was launched in 1940 and in production until the early 1950s. The models were available in different case materials, such as yellow or pink gold, stainless steel or stainless steel and gold.

The present watch is believed to be one of only eight references 1461 from the first series to appear in public to date and furthermore the only example with applied Breguet numerals, confirmed by the Extract from the Archives, and retailed by Tiffany & Co. known to exist.
