    Pre-Lot Text

The following two lots, 108 and 109, are fine examples of Rolex Day-Date models fitted with so-called "Stella" dials. During a short period of time in the 1970s and early 1980s, the model was available with coloured dials resembling enamel. These rare coloured dial variants are referred to as "Stella" dials by collectors and are considered very collectible.
