    Château Cheval-Blanc 1966
    Saint-Émilion, 1er grand cru classé (A)
Four slightly corroded capsules. Very bin-soiled and damp-affected labels, some damaged. Levels: eight top-shoulder or better, two upper and one mid/upper-shoulder
Tasting note: Many delectable notes. Completely harmonious and a modest alcoholic content, 12.2% - a contrast to the clumsy, 'global' reds so fashionable in other quarters nowadays. Most recently: glorious fragrance; medium-dry, still crisp and youthful. A superb wine. Last tasted Oct 2003 ***** M.B.
