    Château Haut-Brion 1926
    Pessac (Graves), 1er cru classé
Slightly corroded embossed Château capsules. Bin-soiled and damp-affected labels. Levels: two top and one upper-shoulder
Tasting note: The best Haut Brion until we reach the ‘45s. Noted in different contexts and sizes; bottle, magnum and jeroboam. Its nose and taste very distinctive, totally unlike the 1er cru Medocs. Most recently, still almost opaque; harmonious, rich nose; fairly sweet, full flavored, powerful. Last tasted Sep.2000 **** M.B.
