Formed of heavy sheet, the crown with a raised median ridge that terminates at the back in a pronounced carinated edge, an arching ridge above the neck-guard, a horizontal plate attached toward the front of the crown with three plume holders, the contoured brow with incised vertical lines in the groove, a gorgoneion centered below in a roundel flanked by winged griffins, their hind legs overlapping a ridge that spirals into a coil at each temple, the cheek-pieces hinged below, wings above
