A SOUTH ITALIAN RED-FIGURE PELIKE
LATE 4TH CENTURY B.C.
Side A with the seated figure of a naked youth holding fan and large branch, side B with profile female head, one handle missing, 11 in. (28 cm.) high; a large Campanian black glazed guttus, the central medallion with maenad head in relief, circa 300 B.C., 6 in. (15 cm.) diam. excl. handle; a black glazed oinochoe with ribbed body, 6¾ in. (17 cm.) high; and a miniature Xenon ware twin-handled mug decorated in added red with band of herringbone and wave pattern, 2¼ in. (5.5 cm.) high, both 4th Century B.C. (4)
